Meet the director, Cheryl Foggo
Cheryl Foggo was born in Calgary, and for three decades her work as an author, playwright and filmmaker has traced the lives of Western Canadians of African descent — a history her own family shares. She is a member of the Alberta Order of Excellence.
She spent years with John Ware's story. She'll be in the room for both screenings.
What to expect
Afternoon — youth matinee
Doors open for the closed matinee.
Enjoy the film. A closed screening for youth. Seats are arranged through partner community organizations, and made free by our sponsors.
Conversation and connection after the credits, with director Cheryl Foggo.
Venue closes between screenings. Box office reopens at 6:00 PM, with tickets available at the door.
Evening — public screening
